What is an Elimination Period?
Some plans use an elimination period, which is a time period defined within the structure of your group dental plan that begins on your effective date and must be satisfied before benefits on certain procedures become available. Because Elimination Periods are sometimes called Waiting Periods, care should be taken not to confuse the two terms.
